A Thoughtful Approach to Psychiatry

Many people arrive in psychiatric care after years of partial answers: diagnoses that never fully fit, medications that helped somewhat, or treatment plans that did not account for the full picture.

My approach is careful, collaborative, and deliberately paced. I take time to understand symptoms in context — including mood, anxiety, attention, sleep, substance use patterns, medical history, and prior treatment response.

The goal is not to rush to a label or add medication reflexively. It is to build a clearer understanding of what is happening and create a treatment plan that is thoughtful, practical, and sustainable.

Background and Training

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 25,000 hours of clinical experience across outpatient psychiatry, complex diagnostic evaluation, and medication management.

My work has focused on patients with overlapping concerns — including mood disorders, anxiety, attention-related difficulties, and substance use — particularly in cases where prior treatment has been incomplete, inconsistent, or unclear. This includes both clinical experience and lived experience with addiction and recovery.

I take a measured, deliberate approach to care, with an emphasis on diagnostic clarity, thoughtful medication use, and careful reassessment over time.
